- Select that list on this page.
- Choose the number of groups or the target number of entries per group.
- Generate the groups, then copy, print, display, or regroup the result.
Turning shuffle off preserves the saved list order. With shuffle on, the tool randomizes the entries before distributing them, while keeping every listed occurrence in the result.
Choose Group Count or Group Size
Choose By number of groups when you know how many groups you need. Entries are distributed across that number of groups, with any remainder placed across the first groups.
Choose By entries per group when the group size matters more. The last group may be smaller when the list cannot be divided evenly.

General Grouping, Not Specialized Team Building
This tool is designed for broad list grouping: it places every entry into a group and keeps group sizes as even as the selected method allows. It works well for names, participants, topics, tasks, or other simple list items.
It does not balance sports teams by player skill, position, ranking, or competition rules, and it does not create team names. Those are team-specific jobs rather than general random grouping.

No. This version distributes entries by count or size. It does not use skill levels, roles, preferences, restrictions, or other balancing conditions.
Does this tool save my list?
Saved lists stay in localStorage in your current browser, and generated results are retained temporarily for the current tab. Clearing browser data or switching devices can remove access to those saved lists.
